Policewoman In Trouble For 'Cooking' Her Niece’s Hands On Christmas Day

A policewoman is currently being interrogated by the Federal Capital Territory Command of the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly ‘cooking’ her niece’s hands with boiled water.

Naija News understands that the accused personnel, Ruth had caught her niece Miracle stealing meat from the pot of soup she had prepared for Christmas.

She was reportedly angered by the 10-year-old girl’s action and decided to pounce on her and went on to tie her hands with a robe and dipped them inside boiled water.

A resident who confirmed the incident anonymously to PUNCH Metro said neighbours heard the loud cries of the young girl and immediately rushed out to rescue her.

The source explained further that the residents alerted the police and Miracle was rushed to the Kubwa General Hospital.

The source said: “On Christmas Eve, she caught the young girl stealing a piece of meat from her pot of soup which she prepared for Christmas.

“She was angry with her and tied the two hands of her niece with rope and put them inside hot water.

“Her neighbours heard her crying aloud and later she ran out. They were surprised at what they saw. The girl sustained serious injuries on the two hands, and one of the neighbours, who could not bear it, called the police.

“It was the police that rushed her to the General Hospital in Kubwa. The policewoman is still at the Dutse Alhaji division.”

Naija News understands that Ruth who stays at the Dutse Alhaji area of FCT has since been arrested.

Speaking on the development, the FCT police command spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, said an investigation was ongoing.
