Barcelona Eyes Lionel Messi's Return, Plans To Sell Three Key Players To Raise Funds

English Premier League champions, Manchester City, has reportedly offered former FC Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, a three-year contract.

Barcelona had on Friday announced the Argentine’s contract termination at Camp Nou, declaring that he is now a free agent after his deal expired on July 1.

Reports made available on Le10sport claimed that City’s contract offer for Messi includes a two-year stay at Etihad and a final year at New York City, a team also owned by the Citizens’ owners, in the MLS. Meanwhile, Messi has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Naija News reports.

PSG joined the struggle to get Messi’s signature, with players like Neymar, Angel Di Maria, and Leandro Paredes doing their best to lure the 34-year-old to the French Ligue 1 giants.

Meanwhile, Man City have just completed the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for £100 million, giving him the club’s number 10 jersey. Pep Guardiola’s side is interested in signing England captain, Harry Kane, who might take yet another £120-150 million.
