Champions League Final: Man City's Squad To Face Chelsea Confirmed

Manchester City have taken a 24-man squad for the trip to Portugal to face Chelsea in the Champions League final.

City will be hoping to cap off a remarkable season by winning Europe’s top competition for the first time in their history on Saturday.

To do so, however, they will have to defeat familiar foes, Chelsea, at Porto’s Estadio do Dragao, with Thomas Tuchel’s side holding the psychological advantage after winning the last two meetings between the clubs.

Thankfully, Pep Guardiola should have a fully fit squad to choose from as there have been no surprise omissions from the squad that has made the trip.

The only minor worry had been regarding Ilkay Gundogan, who was taken off early in the second half of the 3-2 defeat to Brighton as a precaution after picking up a slight knock.

To be on the safe side, the German remained on the bench during the 5-0 thumping of Everton on the final day of the season but he is fully fit and has traveled with the squad.

Sergio Aguero has struggled with fitness problems in recent weeks – and the season on a whole – but he is also fit enough to travel after scoring twice in his final match at the Etihad.

Full Man City squad for the Champions League final is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Ederson, Zack Steffen, Scott Carson, James Trafford

Defenders: Benjamin Mendy, Aymeric Laporte, Joao Cancelo, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Eric Garcia, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Aleks Zinchenko

Midfielders: Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho

Forwards: Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.
