PSG’s match against Istanbul Basaksehir was suspended on Tuesday due to alleged racist comments made by the assistant referee.

The duo suspended their Champions League match on Tuesday night in France with just 14 minutes played.

Naija News reports that shortly after the game was stopped, players left the field and refused to continue with the match.

Basaksehir accused one of the Romanian referees of using abusive language during a meeting with their assistant coach, Pierre Webo, a former Cameroon international.

Basaksehir and Senegal striker Demba Ba, who was among the substitutes, was seen on video questioning the fourth official’s decision to call Webo “That Black man” instead of “that guy”.

Football authorities are investigating the allegations of racism.

The match will now resume today, Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the 14th minute which it ended, according to reports.
