Roma wrap up Kumbulla signing

Roma have taken 20-year-old defender Marash Kumbulla on a two-year loan deal from Hellas Verona.

The deal has seen three players – Mert Cetin, Matteo Cancellieri and Aboudramane Diaby – go the other way on two-year loans.

Thiago to be unveiled by Liverpool on Friday

Thiago Alcantara will be unveiled on Friday, after Liverpool agreed a £20m deal for the Champions League winner.

The midfielder said goodbye to his Bayern Munich team-mates in an emotional departure at the club’s training ground on Thursday morning, with their boss Hansi Flick congratulating the Reds on signing “an extraordinary” player.
