The crisis in the Edo State House of Assembly seems not to be ending anytime soon with the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party accusing each other of hidden agenda ahead of the September 19 governorship election.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission on Saturday vowed to suspend the electoral process in the state if it sees any sign of violence in the state.

Chris Azebamwan, the publicity secretary of the APC, while speaking on a TV programme monitored by Naija News noted that the assassination allegation raised by the Deputy Governor of the state, Philip Shaibu, is a capital offence.

Recall that Shaibu has accused the opposition party of importing people to assassinate some top politicians in the state.

He further stated that you don’t go about raising assassination allegation without revealing the names of the people involved.

Azebamwan added that if the Edo State Deputy Governor claims the suspects are in the state, he should reveal their identity.

The SSA public Affair to Governor Obaseki, Adaze Emwanta, in his reaction accused the former National Chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, of causing a state of anarchy over his ambition to be the political godfather of the state.

Emwanta also accused the former governor of the state of importing thugs from Kogi State to cause violence in the state ahead of the September 19 governorship election.

PDP further stated that the invasion of the Edo State House of Assembly is a treasonable offence and all the people involve must be brought to justice.
