EPL: Ighalo’s Dream At United ‘Ends’ As Deal Stalks Between Clubs

Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo’s dream at Old Trafford is closely dashing out as his main club show strong interest in receiving him back to feature in the next summer.

The forward since his loan move to Manchester United in January 2020 has proved many wrong by his outstanding performance in few matches he was featured.

Naija News understands that Ighalo had netted four goals in eight matches for the Reds just before games were suspended due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic across the world.

Shanghai Shenhua had released the 30-year-old to Manchester United on a six-month loan deal which will expire on May 30.

According to a report monitored by this online news platform on Goal, the Reds has an interest in keeping the striker but no agreement has been reached yet with his parent club.

The report further noted that the English Premier League club has not pushed forward any offer to make a permanent deal for the Nigerian player.

United has only a week to end a negotiation for either to extend Ighalo’s deal, signed him permanently or lose him to his parent club as desired by the club.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua are keen to welcome back the striker to join his teammates to prepare for the restart of the Chinese Super League which was also halted due to Coronavirus outbreak.
