Qatar 2022: Arteta Reacts As Brazil Omits Gabriel

English Premier League (EPL) side Arsenal may lose top striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the club captain is reportedly desperate to leave alongside some other team-mates.

Manchester City’s assistant manager Mikel Arteta is set to take charge of the Gunners after agreeing to a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Arteta is not expected to take charge of the Gunners game against Everton with Freddie Ljungberg expected to oversee that game.

According to the UK Independent, Arteta’s first job will be to convince some of the club’s biggest players, including Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Granit Xhaka, to buy into his project and commit their long-term futures to Arsenal.

Aubameyang is unsettled at Arsenal and considering a move away when the transfer window opens in January.

He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months and stalled on contract talks, as he is unhappy with the current situation.

The Arsenal captain contract expires in 18 months, meaning the Gunners may be forced to sell now for cash or risk losing him on a free.
