Gunmen Kidnap Another MAUTECH Professor in Adamawa

Some gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have again abducted another professor of Fishery of  Moddibo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, Kayode Shogbesan, residents and police said.

 This is the third time in three months that a professor of the university is kidnapped.

A family source said Wednesday that Kayode Shogbesan, who is also, a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Yola, was abducted on Tuesday night.

 The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, said the professor was seized as he was returning home from office between 8 and 9 pm on Tuesday.

Earlier on the same Tuesday, December 17, five members of a family were kidnapped in Ganye, headquarters of Ganye Local Government Area.

It could be recalled that, Prof Felix Ilesanmi of Department of Urban and Regional Planning, the same university was kidnapped last month, November 15.

Earlier, on September 30, Professor Adamu Zata of Soil Science also  suffered the same fate.

Naija News had earlier reported that incessant attacks by kidnappers have forced residents to sleep with two eyes opened in the state.
