Pastor Jailed For Stealing Animals
A pastor in Osogbo, Osun state, Pastor Solomon Oni Opaalade has been charged to court on Monday for stealing turkeys and a goat and threatening the owner with charms.
According to the Principal State Counsel from the State Ministry of Justice, Mr Adekunle Adeniyi, the incidence occurred at Baruwa Area in Osogbo stating that the pastor stole nine turkeys worth 270,000 and a goat worth 18,000 belonging to Mr Oluwasegun Hammed.
The accused then pleaded not guilty.
The magistrate Mrs Adijat Oloyede said she refused the bail of the accused by his lawyer and ordered that he should be referred to the Ilesha Correctional Centre and adjourned till 12th of December.
