Court Delivers Final Ruling On Assault Case Against Senator Abbo

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on Monday brought Senator Elisha Abbo (PDP-Adamawa North) to the Zuba Magistrate’s Court, Abuja.

Naija News understands that the embattled lawmaker is expected to be arraigned on a one-count charge of assault today.

Recall that Abbo, Nigeria’s youngest Senator, was caught on CCTV assaulting a nursing mother at a sex toy shop in Abuja.

He, however, apologized to the woman and Nigerians, promising to be of good behaviour.

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, Bala Ciroma, confirmed to The Punch that Abbo had been taken to the court.

He said, “They (police officers) have taken him to the Zuba Magistrate court for arraignment. They are on their way now.”

It was gathered that Police detectives had established a prima facie case against Senator Elisha Abbo.
