Claude-Maurice May Snub Arsenal For Borussia Monchengladbach
Lorient winger Alexis Claude-Maurice has expressed desire in joining Borussia Monchengladbach.
Claude-Maurice hopes to seal a move away from Lorient this summer and told L’Equipe: “Now I feel like it’s time to leave, to join a club that is playing at a higher level.
“I want to join Monchengladbach. It is a club that relies on young people, there is a good structure, the team will play in the Europa League. This project pleases me and suits me.”
Arsenal are set to submit a bid for Kieran Tierney in the coming days after Unai Emery identified the Celtic star as the answer to his problems at left-back, according to the Daily Mail.
It appears the Gunners boss has identified Tierney as a key target as the Daily Mail claim Emery has informed the Arsenal board that the Celtic left-back would be an excellent addition to the team.
The newspaper suggests Arsenal are now expected to formalise their interest with an offer over the coming days but warn we’ll have to table at least £20m for Celtic to even consider cashing in on the young defender.
