Benue State Governor Proposes HND Minimum Qualification For LG Caretaker Chairman

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has said that the minimum qualification for been appointed as local government caretaker chairman is now a degree or Higher National Diploma.

Special Adviser to the governor, Tahav Agerzua, who gave an insight into the deliberation at the PDP caucus meeting held in government house, Makurdi was the composition of local government caretaker committees.

Since the tenure of the present council chairmen expires in June this year, the state government is proposing the composition of caretaker committees.

Governor Samuel Ortom Commiserates With Lobi Stars FC Over Coach’s Death

Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State has commiserated with the Board, Management, staff and players of Lobi Stars Football Club, over the death of their Technical Adviser, Solomon Ogbeide who died on Monday, May 20.

The governor who gave his condolences in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Mr Terver Akase said that the late football tactician was “a humble and hardworking man whose commitment and selfless disposition will be greatly missed by his players and thousands of fans of the club.

“The governor described the death of Ogbeide as a painful loss, not only for his family and Lobi Stars but also the entire state and country at large”.
