1. Lawan, Gbajabiamila Lobby APC, PDP Lawmakers Ahead Inauguration

Senator Ahmed Lawan and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the preferred candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have increased lobby for the positions of Senate president and Speaker of the House in the soon to be inaugurated 9th National Assembly. The lawmakers are not leaving anything to chance in their bid to emerge victorious in the National Assembly leadership contest which is just barely three weeks away.

2. Okorocha Tackles EFCC Boss Over Investigation

Governor Rochas Okorocha has warned the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, not to allow the agency to be infiltrated by politicians. The governor was reacting to a statement by Magu saying Okorocha was under probe for alleged money laundering.

3. National Assembly: PDP Governor Endorses Gbajabiamila For Speaker

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has thrown his weight behind Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives. Umahi, who his a governor under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), endorsed Gbajabiamila when the All Progressives Congress (APC) prefered candidate led many of his supporters and colleagues on a courtesy call to the governor.

4. Benue State SSG Gets Second Term Appointment

The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has announced the reappointment of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Anthony Ijohor (SAN). Naija News learnt that the Governor also reappointed his Chief of Staff, Terwase Obunde.

5. Nasarawa Governor-Elect Reveals What Will Happen After His Inauguration

Ahead of the May 29 inauguration, the Governor-elect in Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, has promised the people of the state that he will work with the competent people for the peace, progress, and development of the state. Sule stated this on Tuesday while been visited by delegates of Eggon nation in Lafia.
