What Omokri Told Buhari About Emefiele’s Re-Appointment

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has commended President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration for considering the re-appointment of Godwin Emefieke as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Naija News understands that Omokri said although he is a critic of Buhari, he said the President has done well by re-appointing Emefiele despite that he believes that the President is tribalistic.

He said he would always applaud Buhari if he does well for the country, and noted that the appointment of the CBN governor shows that Buhari is listening to the voice of the Nigerian masses.

“I am a critic of President @MBuhari because I believe he is inept, and tribalistic. However, when he does well, I must commend him. In nominating Godwin Emefiele for a 2nd term, Buhari showed he is listening and is slowly shedding his clannish nature. For that, I commend him,” Omokri said in his words while reacting to the appointment of Emefiele via his twitter handle.

His reaction comes after the President re-appointed Godwin Emefiele as the CBN governor despite the expiration of his tenure as the governor of the central bank.

Naija News had reported that the President had earlier sent the name of Emefiele to the Senate for reappointment; a process that experienced a hit-free confirmation from the Senate.
