Convoy Of British, Belgian PMs Involved in Car Accident

In what seemed to be an apparent accident on a motorway in Belgium, two police motorcycles in convoy carrying the British and Belgian prime ministers were knocked over by a car on Friday.

According to the Belgium media, the two motorcycles were escorting Theresa May and Charles Michel after they laid wreaths at World War One British graves.

Although, no one was injured in the collision, the two policemen were rushed the the hospital.

De Standaard quoted Belgian premier Michel’s spokesman describing the incident as an “unfortunate accident”.

May was in Belgium to mark Sunday’s centenary of the end of the 1914-18 war and later travelled for further ceremonies in France
