I Am Not Against Oshiomhole’s leadership style – Yekini Nabena

Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Yekini Nabena has spoken against claims that he opposes the the leadership style of the party’s National Chairman, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole.

According to the assistant spokesperson of the party, in a statement he released in Abuja, the report which was ascribed to him in a news publication, was completely false.

“My attention has been drawn to a comment credited to me in one of the national newspapers on Adams Oshiomhole’s national leadership of our great party, and the party’s current state of affairs.

“As a former acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, I know for a fact and good authority that the party’s National Working Committee and the National Executive Committee are strongly in support of the National Chairman,” he said.

According to Punch, Nabena added that the NWC and the NEC were also in support of the progressive reforms Oshiomhole had championed in the party.

This, he noted, was to ensure the inclusion and direct participation of all party members in its affairs.

While noting that there were grievances in the aftermath of the party’s recently conducted primaries, Nabena assured that amicable solutions were already being sought for the grievances.

Naija News recalls that the National Chairman of the APC alleged that some members of the party, including some governors were ganging up against him, in fact, some governors have publicly called for his resignation as chairman of the party.
