Arsenal defender, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, might miss his side’s next match with Leicester City on Monday after sustaining an ankle injury on international duty, Metro UK reports.

Sokratis was substituted during Greece’s 2-0 defeat to Finland on Monday and he is believed to have damaged his ankle.

He is expected to undergo scans to determine the level of the injury, but there is no indication that he will be back for the gunners to face the Foxes at the Emirates.

Sokratis has had much playing time with the new manager, Unai Emery, restructuring his team’s defence, he has played in his side’s nine match victory.

With the defender injured, this leaves just Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi as Emery’s only fully fit defenders.

The Gunners will enter a busy period after the international break and play five matches in 13 days against the likes of Leicester, Sporting Lisbon and Liverpool.
