LASEMA Rescues Man Who Jumped Into Lagos Lagoon

Published

A middle-aged man has been rescued from the Lagos lagoon after he allegedly jumped into the water from the Third mainland bridge, Naija News understands.

The Lagos state Emergency Management Agency successfully rescued  the man who jumped off the Third Mainland Bridge into the Lagos lagoon earlier today.

The incident attracted a crowd of passers-by who stopped on the bridge to catch a glimpse of the man while being rescued by some fishermen and officials of the State Waterways Authority.

Although the man’s identity could not be identified, it was reported that he resorted to taking the action in an apparent suicide attempt and is said to be receiving medical attention at a hospital.

In June 2018, there were unconfirmed stories of a woman in a Sports Utility Vehicle who allegedly jumped off the bridge into the water.
