Suspected Kingpin’s Gang Murder Five In Ukum Local Government Of Benue.

Five people have been killed in Tse Vue village of Ukum Local Government Area of Benue state by Suspected kingpin’s gang, Terwase Akwaza popularly known as Gana.

Confirming the incidence earlier today, Spokesman of the command, DSP Moses Yamu, in a statement said that the police had received a report that Tse Vue village via Ayati in Ukum LGA was attacked on Thursday at about 9:00am by suspected Shitile militia (Gana boys).

Yamu said that operatives led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Ukum on reaching the scene, found five male bodies appearing to have been strangled with use of ropes and one man who was injured were rushed to the hospital.

He added that the five men were confirmed dead on arrival to the hospital.

The police spokesman, however, noted that the state Commissioner of Police, Ene Okon, has ordered immediate investigation into the incident with a view to arresting the unknown gunmen, warning that the command under his watch would not hesitate to deal decisively with law breakers.
