Senators Promise To Reveal Next Step On Friday

There has been report making rounds that Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, a governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, in Imo State and the immediate-past national organising secretary of the party, Senator Osita Izunaso, are set to dump the ruling party for the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

Report has it that both men were at the APGA national headquarters yesterday for a closed-door meeting with the national chairman of APGA, Mr. Victor Oye, in Abuja.

Ararume and Izunaso are currently battling to take control of the party structure in Imo State from Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Izunaso, though did not reveal their mission, stated that consultations were still ongoing and that another meeting had been slated for Friday.

I can’t talk now. I have already said that. After our final meeting, I will talk. I am going to have another meeting on Friday and we will talk after that,” he said.

Though Ararume did not stated the outcome of the meeting, there has been speculations that he might pick the nomination form of the party on Friday to contest for Imo governorship seat.

Imo State is leading with over 30 aspirants, gunning for governorship, senatorial and House of Representatives seats. It is followed by Anambra.
