PDP reacts to Senator David Mark’s grilling by EFCC.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) led federal government of intimidating its leaders.

This was said by the newly elected PDP chairman, Prince Uche Secondus while reacting to the news that former Senate President, David Mark was recently invited and interrogated by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In his reaction to the issue, Secondus said “APC should stop intimidating our leaders. We will no longer take it, enough is enough. They don’t need to attack us, they should fulfill what they promised us. Enough of this, we are not in a military era.

“What I am telling them is that God is not sleeping. When the time comes, the people will speak through their votes. “We handed over freely in 2015 and they should be prepared to handover to us. No amount of intimidation will distract Nigerians.

“We will obey our Constitution, this is the only way we can perform. We will obey you (BoT members). We will checkmate impunity. We will find time to organize a retreat for BoT. We will not fail you. Power will come power and go.”

Former Senate President, David Mark is alleged to have collected a sum of N5.4b from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki and another N500m from ex-President Goodluck Jonathan during the build-up to the 2015 presidential election.
