A notorious female kidnapper, who is the wife of the gang leader after she was arrested with others in Kaduna state. This was revealed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Jimoh Moshood in a statement.
According to Moshood the suspected kidnappers – Nuhu Fulani, 32; Yahaya Muhammed, 26 and Aisha Bature, 23, were arrested by the inspector general’s intelligence response team.
The suspected kidnappers were arrested along Zaria-Kaduna Expressway
Moshood said the team in collaboration with the technical intelligence unit closed in on the kidnappers after an operation by the gang on Wednesday, March 15.
Moshood said: “The gang has been on the wanted list of the Nigeria Police Force for some time now. In the course of investigation, they admitted to be responsible for some kidnappings and robberies on Zaria-Kaduna Expressway in Kaduna state.”

He also said the suspects explained to the police investigators the role they played in various offences traced to them.
“They were equally identified by some the victims. Meanwhile, investigation is being intensified to arrest the other members of the gang still at large,” Moshood said.
Items recovered from the suspects include charms, one AK 47 riffle, one locally made pistol, 30 rounds of live ammunition and a Samsung S6 phone belonging to their last victim.
He said the AK 47 was recovered in a toilet inside the house of Aisha who is also the wife of the gang leader.
Moshood added that the suspects will be arraigned before a court at the completion of police investigation on the matter.
