Suspected Kidnappers Kill Four, Abduct Others On Kaduna-Abuja Highway

Attack Took Place Along The Kaduna-Abuja Highway

An attack by some armed bandits along the Kaduna-Abuja highway, on Sunday has seen at least four people dead, while some others were abducted.

Austin Iwar, the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, confirmed the attack while on Channels Television.

The police boss while sympathizing with the residents, gave assurance that the operatives will investigate the incident.

An eye witness of the attack revealed that the incident occurred at around 6:00 pm near Gidan Busa village, located between Jere and Kateri communities, along the expressway.

He explained that passengers were returning from Kaduna to Abuja in different vehicles, when they stumbled on the bandits who mounted a road block, stopped motorists and started shooting sporadically.

The attack is coming a week after security operatives conducted search operations for arms at Kuriga village.
