The emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, has married his longtime heart throb, a young lady named Hauwa’u Adamu Abdullahi Dikko after about three decades of monogamy.

The bride is said to be a direct descendant of Malam Jamo, who was a brother to the late Emir of Kano, Ibrahim Dabo.

The marriage ceremony, which was a quiet affair took place at Nasarawa GRA within Kano metropolis on Friday, January, 6.

The wedding was reportedly postponed several times in the past until it finally held recently in a low key ceremony at the residence of the late Jarman Kano, Professor Isah Hashim.

According to multiple sources, the Madakin Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Nabahani Ibrahim, represented the family of the groom during the marriage rites, while Alhaji Shehu Hashim served as that of the bride.

The emir has four children from his first wife of almost 30 years.

Born in 1961, Mr Bayero ascended the throne as 15th Fulani Emir of Kano on March 9, 2020, following the depositions of his nephew Muhammadu Sanusi II by the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
