The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Godwin Obaseki is currently leading with 80,495 votes after results from 13 Local Government Areas.

The ruling party are leading in eleven local government area of the state, while the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Osagie Ize-Iyamu is leading in two LGAs out of the results announced.
