One person has been reportedly killed in Ondo State during a battle of supremacy by two cult group in the state.

The Public Relations Officer of the state’s Police Command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro in a statement made available to newsmen a few moments ago, revealed that three persons have been arrested in the event which has left the people of Ilaje community in tension.

It was reported that two rivalry groups in the community engaged in supremacy battle and in the process killed one person whose name is yet to be revealed. Anonymous sources revealed that the three suspects were apprehended at the Zion Area of Igbokoda, the Ilaje LGA headquarters.

He revealed further that the cult group immediately buried the victim after the exchange of hits which lasted for a few minutes. Naija News gathered that the incident started after a rival group kidnapped the deceased and one of his friend around Larada Street in the same community.

The other, however, escaped from the group’s cave severely injured while the victim ran out of luck in the process.

Ikoro while speaking on the incident disclosed that the command had begun investigation over the horrible, adding that the corpse is already exhumed.

This is coming a few hours after Lagos State Taskforce announced the arrests of 21 suspected members of a deadly cult group during a recent raid on criminal hideouts in the state.
