South-East Visit: President Buhari conferred 2 chieftancy titles

President Buhari honoured with 2 chieftancy titles in Ebonyi.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been awarded two chieftaincy titles in Abakiliki, Ebonyi State.

President Buhari is at present on a 2-day working visit to the state, a visit which was said not to be for political reasons.

One of Buhari’s new titles is Ochioha NdiIgbo 1 (Igbo Warrior), was bestowed on him by South East traditional council of rulers headed by Eze Eberechi Dick.

The second title, Enyioma 1of Ebonyi (A good Friend), was however conferred on him by the Ebonyi traditional council of rulers led by Eze Charles Mkpuma.

The President had arrived Ebonyi on Tuesday, with a warm reception by the governors of Enugu, Ebonyi and Abia states.

This is Buhari’s first visit to the south-east since he became Nigeria’s president.

Clarifying that the visit was not political, the President  intimated that the visit s aimed at reassuring the region that his government is not discriminating any part of Nigeria.
