COVID-19: NCDC Shuts Emir Of Daura’s Palace Over New Case
The Emir of Daura Palace, Umar Farouk, Katsina State has been sealed off following the confirmation of a case of COVID-19 in the palace.
According to Mustapha Inuwa, secretary to the state government, the closure was a normal routine put in place once a positive case has been recorded.
Coronavirus: Oyakhilome Reveals What Would Have Happened If Pastors Prayed Before Allowing Government Close Churches
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, founder and lead pastor of Christ Embassy has noted that the government should have allowed pastors to pray against the coronavirus disease before giving the go-ahead to lockdown churches.
The popular cleric also chided church leaders who agreed to the lockdown of worship places without voicing the option of prayers before the shutdown.
Former Sokoto State Governor Dies
The Sokoto State Government have announced the death of Dr Garba Nadama, the second civilian governor of the State.
In a statement to newsmen on Tuesday, the Sokoto State govt disclosed that Nadama, aged 82 years, died after an illness of natural cause.
NCDC Reveals Why Nigeria May Go On COVID-19 Lockdown Again
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed that the Federal Government will lockdown parts of Nigeria if there is a massive increase in coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
This was made known by the Director-General of the NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, during the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
