I Am Too Wealthy To Steal Nigeria Resources - Orji Uzor Kalu

The All Progressives Congress in Abia State, has described the conviction of the former governor of the state, Orji Uzor Kalu, as unfair.

The Chairman of Abia State chapter of APC, Donatus Nwankpa, said the ruling against the Cheif Whip of the Senate was an arranged court judgement.

Nwankpa while speaking with newsmen on Thursday, said the state chapter of the party would meet to discuss the next line of action.

He said; “The party will meet to take a position on the judgment but as an individual, I am very saddened by the judgment.”

“I am not convinced that judgment was given.”

Nwankpa who noted that he was aware that Kalu wouldn’t get judgement said, “considering the utterances of the judge, I’m highly convinced that something went wrong. The judgment is not fair.”

Naija News had earlier reported that Justice Mohammed Idris convicted Kalu on 39 counts of N7.65bn fraud levelled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
