Boko Haram Militants After My Family- Nigerian Pastor Cries Out

A Nigerian pastor and founder of the Eminent Apostolic Ministry, Precious Oluleye has raised the alarm over threats by Boko Haram militants to eliminate his family.

Naija News understands that Oluleye lamented that the terrorists that had ran him out of two northern cities have now threatened to kill his wife and three children.

According to the Nigerian Pastor, the reason for the threat by the Boko Haram terrorist set was due to his evangelistic activities in the region.

The Pastor told The Nation that the militants have been trailing his family in their Lagos home.

Recounting his ordeals, the preacher said as thus; “Because of my activities of as an evangelist I automatically became a target of Boko Haram and the Almajiris. While I and my colleagues were in Borno preaching the gospel we suffered many casualties.

“The Boko Haram and the Almajiris entrapped and killed many pastors and evangelists in a bid to prevent the gospel from being preached. As a result I kept on moving from one city to the other in the northern region of Nigeria.

“After I discovered that my life was in danger I relocated to Sokoto also in the northern part of Nigeria and continued to preach the gospel in the city of Sokoto and the surrounding villages.”

In January 2015, Oluleye suffered an attack in the town of Attagara where he was pastor of a local assembly. Several of his members died in the attack where he escaped by the whiskers.

“It was about 10:00am in the morning and the service was well underway and suddenly a group of men clothed in black garments came into the church and started shooting at the congregation.

“They shot a couple of bullet at my direction at the pulpit but I was able to escape unharmed. A lot of lives were lost on that fateful day. After the incident I moved to another town that was relatively quiet and started preaching the gospel again.”

He said he had resorted to preaching underground to escape further attacks. But his cover was blown one day while on a tour of a town in Sokoto.

“Suddenly in the middle of the programme we were surrounded by a group of militia dressed as police officers,” he recalled. “They were about 200 of them but shortly after they started shooting at the parishioners and killed many people.

“They were specifically looking for Pastors and evangelists. They killed many villagers that day and when they were done at the church they went into the village and killed many more villagers and burnt their houses.

“Till this day a lot of the villages could not rebuild as most of the villagers were killed and the few that escape moved out of the area.”

“I was really targeted on multiple occasions while driving along the highways in Lagos. I again reported the incidences to the Lagos police and the police could not apprehend these boys. The police knew that these militia groups were terrorizing the city and they could not do anything about it. The police were afraid as well.

“It so happened that while postoring in Lagos I began to hide again to avoid being harmed. Before coming to the USA this time around I have been receiving multiple threatening phone calls telling me that they were coming for me and my family.

“There have been several incidence of vandalism at the church I pastor in Lagos. Members of the congregation were also being harassed by some unidentified men who parade the church vicinity during worship hours to scare them.”

‘’My wife and children have also been feeling the effect of their actions. They followed my wife around town when she goes out for shopping or run some other errands.

‘’These militia boys disguised themselves and would appear unexpected from nowhere rough her up on most occasions and tell her that she will soon be without a husband.

‘’My wife has cried many times because of the molestation and threats she had suffer at the hands of these militants. The worst thing about this is the fact that there was nothing the ordinary person could do about it.

“However I have been out of Nigeria for a couple of months now and I have been informed by my wife that she is being harassed and molested on the streets of Lagos again.

‘’My kids are young and they are very afraid to go to school these days because they could perceive that their parent’s lives are in danger. They too have witnessed some of the violence perpetrated towards me.

“They were in the car with me when I was being trailed. They saw the vandalism at the church and witness their mother being molested. They are afraid and I fear for their lives.”
