Femi Gbajabiamila Speaks On Being Tinubu’s Puppet

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has spoken on the news making round that he is a puppet of the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.

Gbajabiamila who represents the Surulere I constituency of Lagos State while speaking at a reception dinner organised for him by the state government described the report as “ridiculous”.

NAN reported that the dinner was attended by the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun and the Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong.

Other prominent people in attendance include, the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu; a former governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Osoba; and a former governor of Oyo State, Sen. Abiola Ajumobi.

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, were with the speaker to receive guests at the dinner.

While speaking he stated that he was indebted to Tinubu for inspiring him politically and helping to nurture his career.

Gbajabiamila revealed that without help from Tinubu, he would not have gotten to where he is.

He stated that emerging as the speaker of the house was giving the speakership to Tinubu very ridiculous, he added that people sponsoring the thought are doing it out of ignorance, as Tinubu only wanted the good of the country.

He appreciated the Lagos State government for the reception dinner, he stated that he felt really loved by the gesture.

The governor of the state in his statement described the speaker as a very cerebral and competent lawmaker.

He stated that the state was proud to see him emerge as the Speaker of the ninth House of Representatives, he added that the people expect so much from him.

Other people who spoke about the speaker include, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ahmed Wase; Rep. Abdulmumin Jibrin and other members of the house.
