9th National Assembly: Ali Ndume Nominated For Senate President

One of the top contenders for the position of Senate President of the 9th National Assembly, Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South)  has been nominated.

The former Senate leader was nominated during the ongoing plenary session in the Senate.

Speaking after accepting his nomination, Ndume stated that the Office of the Senate President was being eroded and that the Senate must maintain its independence.

He stated the need for the 9th National Assembly to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s agenda of security and cutting short to just three months, the timeline for budgets to be passed.
