Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with state governors behind closed doors in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Naija News understands that service chiefs and heads of other security agencies are also attending the meeting which its agenda is said to be “insecurity.”

Governors present at the meeting include those of Zamfara, Kwara, Ondo, Bayelsa, Anambra, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Plateau, Osun, Rivers, Oyo, Akwa Ibom and the Enugu States.

Others are Kebbi, Delta, Sokoto, Imo, Ebonyi, Kogi, Yobe, Gombe, Ekiti, Lagos, Jigawa, Bauchi, Kano, Niger, Adamawa, Borno and Taraba states.

Also in attendance are the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, the former chief of staff to the president, Abba Kyari and Boss Mustapha, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Meanwhile, Naija News reports that the meeting is coming days after former Nigerian military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida, expressed optimism that President Buhari would fulfil his promise to solve the security challenges plaguing the country.

“He (Buhari) made a promise and I believe he will fulfil it.”

“He said that the security situation will be dealt with very decisively; this is the message he sent and I trust he will do that,” IBB had said.
