Tinubu: ‘He Shall Be President Come 2027’ – Yari

Former Zamfara State Governor and Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure a second term in office in the 2027 presidential election.

Yari, who represents Zamfara West in the Senate, made the declaration on Sunday shortly after arriving at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, from an overseas trip.

Naija News reports that the supporters and members of the ruling APC welcomed the former governor at the airport.

Speaking to journalists, Yari said the President’s performance since assuming office had strengthened the APC’s chances of retaining the presidency.

He also assured Nigerians that the party would fulfil the promises it made during the 2023 election campaign.

He said, “I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we made during the campaign, we shall keep to our promises.

“Today, we have seen him [Bola Ahmed Tinubu] as president today, and by God’s grace, he shall be the president come 2027.

“The crowd are here to pray for me and for the success of Mr President.”

Yari maintained that the APC had established a reputation for fulfilling its commitments to the electorate, urging Nigerians to continue to support the party.

He said, “Our party is synonymous for keeping to our words. We pray that Almighty Allah will give him [the President] the wisdom to lead this country. We assure Nigerians that we shall fulfil all our campaign promises.”

The APC campaign council boss further expressed optimism that the party would remain in control of the Federal Government beyond the 2027 elections.

Yari said the ruling party’s ambition was not limited to securing Tinubu’s re-election, but to maintaining its hold on power beyond the President’s second tenure.

He stated, “We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term.”
