APC Announces Screening Committee, Schedule For Governorship, National Assembly Aspirants
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a screening schedule for aspirants for Senate and House of Representatives ahead of the Party’s primary elections for the 2027 general elections.
According to the schedule released in a statement on Friday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, screening for Senate aspirants would hold from Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Abuja Continental Hotel (Formerly Sheraton), Abuja
The statement added that the screening for House of Representatives aspirants would also hold from Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Treasures Suites & Conferences, Abuja.
Morka, in the statement, advised all aspirants to attend the screening exercise punctually and with all required documents and credentials.
Naija News reports that in a similar development, the APC has announced that its Screening Committee for sitting Governors seeking re-election or aspiring for Senate seats will be chaired by the Party’s National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, while the APC National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, will serve as Secretary.
Other members of the Committee include members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
This was confirmed in a statement on Friday by the APC National Organizing Secretary, Muhammad Argungu.
The statement explained that the screening exercise for incumbent governors seeking re-election or aspiring for Senate seats will hold from Friday, May 8, to Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge.
It noted that proceedings commence at 4:00 PM on the first day and 10:00 AM on the second day.
Argungu added that the screening for all other governorship aspirants is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the NWC Hall, APC National Secretariat, Abuja, beginning at 10:00 AM daily.
