AFCON 2025: CAF Announces Free Electronic Visas For Fans [See How To Apply]
The Confederation of African Football, alongside the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee, has announced that football fans travelling to the tournament will now be eligible for free electronic visas.
In a statement posted on its official website on Friday, November 14, 2025, CAF said the policy applies to citizens of countries that ordinarily need a visa to enter Morocco.
“Electronic visas to enter Morocco, obtained through the YALLA app, are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,” the statement read.
CAF said the move comes amid a surge in global interest in Africa’s flagship football competition, with thousands of supporters already booking tickets and making travel arrangements.
According to CAF, every visitor must obtain two mandatory documents – a Fan ID and an e-visa – in order to stay in Morocco and access match venues.
“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas. Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access,” the statement added.
CAF noted that both processes are “completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike.”
How to Apply
Naija News reports that fans are required to download the YALLA app from Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website to complete their Fan ID form and, where applicable, submit their e-visa request.
Once both documents are approved, supporters can proceed to purchase match tickets on the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF said the newly introduced visa policy is aimed at creating a “seamless, secure fan experience” for the tournament, which will be played across nine stadiums in six cities.
The 2025 edition marks Morocco’s first time hosting the Africa Cup of Nations since 1988, bringing Africa’s biggest football festival back to North Africa after nearly four decades.
A total of 24 teams are expected to participate in the month-long tournament, which will showcase fierce rivalries, modern facilities and a new generation of African stars eager to shine on the continental stage.
CAF said the free e-visa initiative underscores Morocco’s readiness to welcome thousands of supporters and ensure that travel and stadium access are hassle-free.
