Scores Of Boko Haram Terrorists Killed As Troops Raid Borno Forests

No fewer than six suspected bandits were neutralized in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State in a recent operation by the troops of the Nigerian Army.

Naija News reports that the 1 Division Nigerian Army gave details of the operation in a statement issued on Thursday in Kaduna by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the Division, Lt-Col. Musa Yahaya.

According to Yahaya, the operation was carried out on November 16 by 1 Division troops and Operation Whirl Punch, following reliable intelligence.

The troops, he said, conducted an offensive clearance operation in several areas within Birnin Gwari LGA, including Sabon-Birni, Dogon Dawa, Saulawa, Maidaro-Ngede Allah, and Kidenda.

During the operation, six bandits were neutralized, and various weapons and items were recovered, including two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 rifle magazines, 14 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 40 pairs of bandits uniforms, and nine motorcycles.

Reacting, the General Officer Commanding of 1 Division and the Force Commander of Operation Whirl Punch, Maj.-Gen. Valentine Okoro, commended the soldiers for their bravery and urged them to continue their efforts until all terrorists, bandits, and other criminals within the division’s jurisdiction were eliminated.
