‘It’s Coming From People I Respect’ – Yemi Alade Cries Out Over Pressure To Get Married

Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has opened up on pressure from family and friends to get married.

Naija News reports that the 34-year-old singer, during a recent interview with Cool FM, said she is not feeling pressured about getting married, insisting that it would happen at the right time.

According to the ‘Johnny’ crooner, the pressure to marry and have children comes from people she respects, adding they should be patient with her because finding the right partner is more crucial than getting married.

She said, “People often get married, especially towards the end of every year. I’m not feeling pressured. When the time is right, it will happen.

“Family pressure is a challenging thing to resist because it’s coming from the people I respect and look up to, insisting that I should get married. However, I believe that if they genuinely have my best interests at heart, they will be patient with me because finding the right partner is more crucial than just getting married.

“But beyond that, I don’t think anyone should rush into making the wrong decision of being with the wrong partner.”

Yemi Alade Involved In Tragic Car Accident

Meanwhile, Yemi Alade had survived a tragic car accident in Spain.

Naija News reports that the ‘Johnny’ crooner made this known in a post via her Instagram page.

The singer revealed the mishap happened on Thursday last week and expressed appreciation to God for saving her life.

According to Yemi Alade, she only lost a fingernail in the accident.

The singer added that she also experienced a minor medical emergency from exhaustion after performing on stage for seven hours on the same day the accident happened.
