Ronaldo Speaks On Leaving Saudi Arabia Club, Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo has proven to be unstoppable at the age of 38 as he is one of the very few players who have scored more than 40 goals in all competitions so far in 2023.

When Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United unceremoniously in November 2022, most of his critics were urging him to retire from football. After waiting for a big offer, he joined the Saudi Pro League in December and has been almost unstoppable since then even for his national team, Portugal.

Since January this year, Ronaldo has scored a total of 44 goals for both Al Nassr and Portugal’s national team in all competitions.

In the 2023-2024 season alone, the former Real Madrid and Juventus forward has scored 12 goals in eleven games for Al Nassr.

Aside from Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland who plays for Manchester City and Norway national team is one of the three players who have scored more than 40 goals in 2023.

Haaland was unstoppable for Manchester City last season as he broke the Premier League goalscoring record and ended the season as the league’s top scorer with 36 goals.

Since January 2023, the 23-year-old Norwegian striker has scored a total of 44 goals for Manchester City and Norway and he is most likely to score more before the year ends.

Haaland who finished second in the 2023 Ballon d’Or, behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s career rival, Lionel Messi scored his 44th goal of the year in Manchester City’s 3-0 win over United on October 39.

England captain, Harry Kane who left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich during last summer transfer window, is the third player with more than 40 goals this year.

The 30-year-old England international who seems to be a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich, has scored 43 goals for England and Bayern so far this year.
