Saudi Arabia Pro League club, Al Nassr are reportedly set to meet with Manchester City talismanic midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne, to discuss a long-term contract.

Recall that Kevin de Bruyne suffered a partial muscle tear after playing just the Community Shield which Manchester City lost to Arsenal earlier this season.

Since then, he has been battling to recover from the injury and Manchester City seem to be coping well without him. Note that City are currently third on the league table, equal points (24 points in ten games) with second-placed Arsenal.

Hence, reports claimed that Manchester City wouldn’t stop Kevin de Bruyne from leaving the club if he chooses to do so this winter or in the Summer.

Amidst that, Al Nassr are pushing to sign him and are willing to give him a long-term contract even though he is currently 32 years old and very prone to injuries.

Football Insider claimed on Monday that Manchester City are expecting nothing less than £50 million from the suitors of one of their best players, an amount the Saudi Pro League giants won’t hesitate to pay for the Belgian football icon.

Earlier today, November 1, reports in the United Kingdom claimed that officials of Al Nassr are expected to meet with De Bruyne to discuss the club’s long-term plans to convince him to join the club.

If their efforts work out and De Bruyne joins Al Nassr this winter or next summer, the Belgian would link up with former Premier League rivals Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at the club.

Note that the contract between the Belgian midfielder and Manchester City will expire on June 30, 2025, and there are no signs yet that the two parties are making efforts to extend the deal.

Last season, De Bruyne helped Manchester City to win the historic treble – the Premier League, the FA Cup, and the Champions – for the first time in the history of the club and the first time in England since Manchester United did it in 1999.

The Belgium international scored 13 goals and provided 31 assists in 58 games in all competitions for City last season.
