Premier League: Liverpool, Aston Villa Win, See Other Results

The 2023-2024 Premier League Matchday 10 resumed this afternoon with some mouthwatering fixtures which ended with three wins and a draw.

The first Premier League game of the afternoon took place at the London Stadium between in-form West Ham United and struggling Everton. To the dismay of many football enthusiasts, Everton stole an away win.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored the lone goal of the match in the 51st minute to push Everton to the 15th spot on the league table, while West Ham dropped to the 9th spot with 14 points in 10 games.

Three other games took place simultaneously but the biggest of them all was the clash between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest.

Liverpool whose player, Luis Díaz is currently battling a family situation defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 at Anfied courtesy of goals from Diogo Jota, Darwin Núñez, and Mohamed Salah.

The introduction of Taiwo Awoniyi in the second half couldn’t change anything as Forest dropped to the 16th spot, five points away from the relegation zone. As for Liverpool, the win has pushed them to the 4th spot with 23 points in 10 games.

At Villa Park, Aston Villa slammed their visitors, 3-1 courtesy of goals from John McGinn, Moussa Diaby, and an own goal from Tom Lockyer. Luton Town’s consolation goal came via an own goal, thanks to Villa’s goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.

The 3-1 win has pushed Villa to the 5th spot on the Premier League table, while Luton Town who have recorded just a win so far this season, are in the relegation zone, 18th spot.

At Falmer Stadium, Brighton couldn’t end the game with the maximum three points as they shared the spoils with their visitors Fulham.

Evan Ferguson got Brighton’s goal in the 26th minute while Fulham got back into the game in the 65th minute courtesy of a strike from João Palhinha as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

The draw has left Brighton in the 7th spot while Fulham remain in the 14th spot with 12 points in 10 games.
