Full EPL Festive Fixtures Is Out With First Christmas Eve Game In 28 Years

Complete English Premier League Fixtures For Week 9

For the first time in twenty-eight years, there will be a Premier League game on Christmas Eve, December 24 at 1 p.m. WAT.

The Christmas Eve Premier League game is between Chelsea and Wolves and was initially scheduled to take place on December 23.

The first and last time a Premier League game took place on the eve of Christmas since the establishment of the league in 1992 was in 1995. Leeds United won the historic tie 3-1 against Manchester United.

While announcing the Christmas Eve fixture, the Premier League board confirmed that there will be three rounds of holiday matches on December 23, 26, and 30.

The first-round encounter between Aston Villa and Sheffield United is set for Friday, December 22 at 8 p.m., while the match between Crystal Palace and Brighton has been rescheduled for Thursday, December 21 at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, December 23, there will be six matches before Chelsea visit Wolves on Christmas Eve.

The second round of holiday fixtures begins with five games on Tuesday, December 26, and three on Wednesday, December 27.

December 28, will see Brighton host Tottenham, the current Premier League leaders, while West Ham travel to Arsenal.

December 31st is reserved for Arsenal’s trip to Fulham and Tottenham’s home match against Bournemouth. There will be six games on Saturday, December 30.

The remaining fixtures are West Ham vs. Brighton on Tuesday, January 2 and Liverpool vs. Newcastle on Monday, January 1.
