Wike, Uzodinma, Mbah... - IPOB Releases List Of Top Politicians, Others Allegedly Working Against Release Of Nnamdi Kanu

A former Chief Judge of Anambra State, Peter Umeadi, has stated that a political option is best in resolving the case of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The former judge asserted that Kanu’s case should be resolved politically instead of legally.

He stated this while speaking to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday.

The 2023 presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) argued that Kanu’s release would resolve the insecurity issue in the Southeast.

According to Umeadi: “Well, the issue of insecurity in the South East first of all, it has been said before and I agree, for now, it is a serious matter.

“If it is solved, then that is good. The problem, if it is not solved, then you begin to look for another reason why it is still there.

“But for now everybody is saying it and I agree that the issue of Nnamdi Kanu should be treated as a political matter, not a legal matter.

“So if he regains his freedom, perhaps that will be the end of what we are seeing in the South East now, perhaps.”
