Nnamdi Kanu Lawyers Threaten To Boycott Trail Over Alleged Injustice

Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reacted to the proposed meeting between Ohanaeze Ndigbo and President Bola Tinubu over the agitator’s continued incarceration.

Naija News recalls that Ohanaeze’s President, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu had revealed that there were plans to meet with Tinubu over Kanu’s release.

He disclosed this on Saturday during a courtesy visit to the leadership of the Supreme Council of Nigeria Traditional Rulers, Southeast chapter led by the President, HRM Eze Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna of Abia State, at his Glass House Orji-Owerri office complex.

He said the planned visit to the president is centered on all issues bothering the people of the South East geo-political zone.

Reacting to the planned negotiation, Ejimakor warned Ohanaeze to remember that Kanu is the victim and not the villain.

He insisted that the agitator ought to be free if the government had abided by the law.

Speaking via his X account, he wrote, “In meeting with Tinubu, Ohaneze should be strictly guided by the fact that MAZI NNAMDI KANU would not be in detention if Nigeria abided by the law in not subjecting him to extraordinary rendition; or complied with the court orders to release him. He’s the victim, not the villain.”
