Lagos Govt Seals Popular Nightclub Over Noise Pollution (Photos)

A popular nightclub in the Ikoyi area of the Lagos State has been sealed over concerns of noise pollution, the Lagos State government has revealed.

Naija News understands that the directive to seal the nightclub was given by the Lagos State’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab,

The commissioner who took to X, formerly Twitter, to disclose this development said the nightclub is identified as Silk Club.

According to him, the nightclub, which is located at 190, Awolowo Road in Ikoyi, was sealed by the officials of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), following his directives.

Wahab further revealed that the LASEPA officers had conducted a nighttime enforcement operation in the area at the weekend.

The commissioner wrote, “As I directed, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency @LasepaOfficial conducted a nighttime enforcement operation, leading to the closure and sealing of Silk Club at 190, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi due to noise pollution.”
