Reactions As Ooni Of Ife Says Igbos Migrated From Ife

Several reactions have trailed the claim by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, that there is evidence showing that the Igbo race actually migrated from Ile-Ife.

Naija News earlier reported that the monarch, while speaking with reporters at his palace on Saturday, stated that there is evidence showing that the Igbo race actually migrated from Ile-Ife.

Ooni stated that there is evidence that the Igbo race has its roots here in Ile-Ife, revealing that there is Ile-Igbo here in the palace, which was not a recent creation but has been existing here for decades.

Oba Ogunwusi challenged academia in Nigerian universities to properly document the history of the Yoruba race rather than relying on jaundiced history.
