Premier League: Liverpool, Newcastle, Aston Villa Fail To Win

It was an afternoon of draws in the Premier League as the three games that took place from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. ended in goals-filled draws.

At the London Stadium, Newcastle United came from a goal down to almost beat West Ham United 2-1 courtesy of two quick goals from Alexander Isak in the 57th and 62nd minutes.

However, in the 89th minute, Mohammed Kudus scored a left-footed goal to ensure that the hosts ended the game with a point.

A similar scenario played out at the Falmer Stadium where the hosts, Brighton scored the opening goal against their visitors, Liverpool in the 20th minute courtesy of Simon Adingra.

Towards the end of the first half, Mohamed Salah scored two quick goals, one from the spot-kick to give Liverpool a 2-1 lead going into the break.

In the 78th minute, the table turned a bit as Lewis Dunk took advantage of a free-kick to ensure that the two teams shared the spoils.

While at Molineux Stadium, Aston Villa and Wolves played a goalless draw throughout the first half. But the two sides got a goal each within two minutes. Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan got the match opener in the 53rd minute. Aston Villa’s Pau Torres got the equalizer in the 55th minute.

Unfortunately for Wolves, they didn’t only lose the lead and shared the spoils, their star player, Mario Lemina was shown the red card in the 94th minute for pulling the shorts of Nicolò Zaniolo.
