The 2023-2024 Europa League matchday two ended on a good note for the big boys in the tournament and there were little or no surprises.

In the night show, Premier League giants, Liverpool showed their superiority by beating Union Saint-Gilloise 2-0 at Anfield courtesy of goals from Ryan Gravenberch, and Diogo Jota.

Jose Mourinho’s Roma who have been struggling in the Serie A campaign this season finally had a reason to smile as they thrashed Servette 4-0 courtesy of goals from Romelu Lukaku, Lorenzo Pellegrini, and two goals from Andrea Belotti.

It was also a good night for German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen as they beat their hosts, Molde 2-1 courtesy of goals from Jeremie Frimpong, and Nigerian-born English midfielder Nathan Tella. Interestingly, their new talisman, Victor Boniface couldn’t get a goal in the game.
