Appeal Court Takes Decision On Status Of Nasir Idris As Kebbi State Governor

The Kebbi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting Birnin Kebbi on Thursday affirmed Nasir Idris as the duly elected governor of Kebbi State.

Naija News gathered that the tribunal chaired by Justice Ofem I. Ofem gave the judgement on Thursday.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Idris of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election.

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), General Aminu Bande (retd), however, filed a 722-page petition challenging the election of Governor Idris in the March 18 poll.
